Nemlanka Jewellers began in 1991 with a dream held by Ajith Boralessa: to bring exceptional gemstones and considered craftsmanship together. His knowledge of gems, and the care with which he selects them, remain at the heart of the family business.
A gemologist trained at the German Gemmological Association in 1979, Ajith built Nemlanka through decades of experience, trust and personal service. Gal Bora grows from that foundation, carrying our family’s knowledge into jewellery shaped around your own story.
A life dedicated to gemstones
Ajith’s contribution has been recognised through entrepreneur awards in Sri Lanka and Malaysia in 2008 and 2009. He served on the executive committee of the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association from 2009 to 2010, and as President of the Gem and Jewellery Dealer Association at the World Trade Center in 2016 and 2017. He remains a member of the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association.
